Maud Seuntjens is Artistic Coordinator at Musica, Impulscentre of Music and Klankenbos, Europe’s largest collection of sound art in the public space.
Klankenbos is public forest filled with sound art installations hidden between the trees, accessible to anyone for free any moment of the day. It is an international collection of sound art in the open air that is unique in Europe. Started in 2005 as a temporary project it has since become permanent sound art park.
Situated near Neerpelt, a small town in north Belgium, eighteen physical and virtual sound installations inspire visitors young and old to consciously experience sound and their acoustic environment. Independent exploration and guided tours and educational activities for children, target groups and businesses are all available.
Every two years, Klankenbos hosts OORtreders, Festival for Art with Sound.
